Barkshire Hydrotherapy Limited

We provide hydrotherapy (water-based therapy) for dogs in our own six by three meter hydrotherapy pool with internal and external ramp. We keep the water temperature between 27-31 degrees and test our chemical levels (chlorine) at least 3 times a day and have it professionally lab tested every month to ensure we keep the highest health and hygiene standards. We start with a one-hour session to properly assess your dog’s condition and let them acclimatise to the surroundings before we get them in the pool. Sessions are after 30 minutes. This gives us plenty of time in the pool and allows time after swimming to wash and dry your dog. Of course, the use of the pool is not exclusively for treating medical conditions – we also teach dogs how to swim and introduce dogs, and puppies to water for the first time in a safe and controlled environment! We work with your dogs vet to gain approval for swimming regardless of the reason for swimming, this ensures your dog can be kept safe whilst swimming with us and means we can create a bespoke treatment plan for your dog. Our two members of staff have 7 years combined experience in canine hydrotherapy and both have further experience of working with dogs previous to this.
