Hydro-fur-apy Ltd., is a new purpose built Canine Hydrotherapy Centre in Over, Cambridgeshire. Our therapist Tracey, holds a Level 3 certificate in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals which includes, bone and ligament conditions, anatomy, first aid and water management. Her background is in Law, but her love is for dogs and after her own dog had T.P.L.O. surgery, she decided to become a hydrotherapist after seeing the benefits and results it had on his rehabilitation.
Our pool is 2.6m x 4.4m and 1.2m and the water is kept at a constant 32oc. It is tested 3 times a day maintaining cleanliness and ensuring that the water is of the highest quality. It has a strengthened, non-slip, built-in ramp, which enables our clients to enter and exit the pool in a calm, controlled and safe manner whilst assisted by a hydrotherapist.
We have a large, bright, well-equipped wet area, where we use a thermostatically controlled shower for hygiene purposes before entering the pool and after the session to clean the chlorine from the dogs’ coats. The shower will also be used for therapeutic purposes where necessary.
Using our passion for dogs, we aim to make a difference by improving the health and quality of our clients’ lives. We feel that every dog should be able to live its life to the fullest that is happy and pain free. Ensuring the wellbeing of our clients is the most important part of what we do.
Our treatment programmes are catered to suit each individual dog’s needs and are carried out in a controlled, relaxed environment. We use therapeutic handling to guide the dog up the ramp into the water where the hydrotherapist will guide the dog around the pool, checking, monitoring and assessing the dog during the session. Treatment begins from the minute our clients enter our centre until the minute they leave.
Our centre is open from 8am until 7pm Monday to Friday and weekends 10am until 3pm, so we should be able to arrange a suitable appointment for you.
